Getting ready for the sowing!

In 2014 the total area of agricultural fields of ANK Agro Holding amount to 30 390 hectares with grains taking up 5 401 hectares, soya – 15 739, feeding crops – 3 584 hectares. The possibility of purchasing extra planting lands is considered which may impact and amend the action plan for 2014. The current weather conditions and excessive soil moisture left from 2013 will let the work in the fields start not any sooner than mid-April. However, taking into account the fact that Agro Holding managed to prepare almost 100% of the farming fields back in autumn, it can be confidently said that the seeding process will meet all of the agronomic deadlines.

For the means of 2014 seeding campaign the elite grain seeds will be used as well as own-produced soya. The seeding material is stocked in full amount. The reserve fund is also present. At the moment the servicing of machinery and agricultural equipment as part of preparation for the spring field work is in full swing. All the required maintenance will be finished just in time for the seeding campaign.
